Learn basic traffic controller duties
This course is designed to meet the requirements for Worksite Traffic Management on Victorian roadways.
This course enables the participants to safely perform traffic controller duties, to identify signage as well as implement and monitor traffic control plans. This course covers the Victorian Worksite Safety Traffic Management Code of Practice.
Skillsets covered include:
Planning and establishing a safe working environment through proper traffic management at work sites using the principles of the Victorian Worksite Safety Traffic Management Code of Practice and the obligations under the Road Management Act 2004.
Safely carry out the duties of a traffic controller at temporary worksites, prepare for traffic control duties, address risks associated with traffic control, control and direct traffic with the stop-slow bat, communicate by radio and shut down aspects of the site related to traffic control.

Pre-requisite: Students are required to complete online pre-learning prior to the course date.
