Learn how to uncover market opportunities and launch your very own business with the BSBSS00103 New Business Ventures Skill Set.

The course is part-time, one evening per week over 18 weeks, or full-time one day a week over 10 weeks. These teacher lead online Zoom workshops will follow a structured timetable. This skillset develops the foundational skills to launch your own business, scale up your current micro business and identify expansion business opportunities.

This Skill Set focuses on how to develop a comprehensive and detailed business plan worth investing in. Consisting of; financial strategies, legal risk, investigation of market needs, how to allocate resources and understanding your place in the market.

This training is appropriate for entrepreneurs and employees looking to innovate within their organisation.

If you don’t have the time to commit to a full qualification, this skill set is a great opportunity to help you juggle a busy life.

The units you will study are:
BSBESB301 Investigate business opportunities
BSBESB302 Develop and present business proposals
BSBESB303 Organise finances for new business ventures
BSBESB304 Determine resource requirements for a new business venture

The units from this Skill Set can also be credited towards a full BSB30220 Certificate III in Entrepreneurship and New Business qualification, and provides the opportunity to progress further to study the BSB40320 Certificate IV Entrepreneurship and New Business.

The New Business Ventures Skill Set is undertaken as part of the Self-Employment Assistance Program that is funded by the Australian Federal Government.

For students who meet the criteria, this skillset has no tuition fee for students.

Eligibility

•be at least 15 years of age (or at least 18 years of age to access Small Business Coaching)
•be an Australian citizen, holder of a permanent visa, or a nominated Visa Holder (including a New Zealand Special Category Visa, Temporary Protection Visa Holder, and a Safe Haven Visa Holder)
•not be an undischarged bankrupt
•not already be in studying or working (or both) for more than 25 hours per week
•meet any additional eligibility criteria specific to the Self-Employment Assistance service you have chosen.
•Participants must be residing in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne at time of commencing the training.
•Please note that Transcend are only contracted to provide support to participants in the South Eastern Melbourne and Peninsula region.
