What is a pathway?

There’s more than one way to reach your study and career goals. A pathway is a flexible learning journey that lets you build skills and qualifications over time, in a way that works for you.

You might start with one course and move on to another. You might study first, work while you learn, or stack your qualifications as your goals take shape. Some students begin with a clear plan, while others use a pathway to explore their options or meet entry requirements for their next step.

No matter where you start, a pathway helps you move forward with confidence, at your own pace and in your own direction.

Why choose a pathway?

Choosing a pathway at Chisholm gives you more options and flexibility. You may be able to complete more than one qualification in the same time it usually takes to finish just one. Many pathway courses also help you gain practical skills and confidence before moving on to higher-level study.

Pathways are open to a wide range of students. There is no requirement for an ATAR, which makes them a great option for students with an unscored or low VCE result, as well as interstate and international students. A pathway lets you start where you’re ready and move forward at your own pace.
