This course is designed for beginners who are interested in learning basic silver smithing skills and techniques to create and take home 2 or 3 pairs of silver earrings
This fun and hands-on course is perfect for beginners who want to dip their toes into the world of silversmithing. You'll learn the basics while designing and creating 2 or 3 beautiful pairs of silver earrings to take home and wear with pride.
Held in a relaxed and supportive setting, there’s plenty of room to get creative and explore your own style as you learn.
Over two sessions, we’ll cover essential silversmithing techniques, including:
• How to plan and design your pieces
• Sawing and filing
• Doming and stamping
• Texturing and soldering
• Polishing and oxidising
• Simple wire wrapping to add gemstones or pearls.
You’ll also go home with detailed notes and a handy list of recommended suppliers so you can keep creating after the course.
Your safety is important to us! For all workshops, we ask that you wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair while working with tools and equipment. We’ll provide safety glasses and an apron to help keep you comfortable and protected throughout the session.
