Make a finished, glazed, and fired ceramic sculpture
This course is designed for those with a basic understanding of ceramics in order to make a finished, glazed, and fired ceramic sculpture and functional vessel to take home at the conclusion of the course.
During this session you will learn the following:
- How to make a ceramic sculpture using a combination of ceramic hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling and using ceramic slabs.
- How to make a functional forms using coiling or ceramic slabs.
- How to select and apply glazes to bisqueware.
This Short Course has a particular focus of ceramic joining techniques and how to troubleshoot any issues faced when completing ceramics work under the guidance of a professional artist with over 20 years’ experience in ceramics.
