This course is designed for those who have completed the stacking ring workshop, or have experience with silver smithing, such as sawing, filing, and soldering

Over the course of four sessions, you will learn how to design and form two bezel rings, one set with a smooth cabochon gemstone, and one set with a faceted stone.

You will be guided and supported to apply the following silversmithing skills and techniques:

-Accurately measure silver to create you ring size
- Sawing including saw piercing
- Forming
- Making a bezel to fit a cabochon
- Creating a bezel to seat a faceted stone
- Soldering
- Filing
- Adding texture to silver
- Stone setting including burnishing – cabochon and faceted stones
- Polishing and oxidising

Be guided in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere to apply skills and techniques with precision and accuracy, to create two rings set with semi-precious stones.

All skills gained in this short course are readily transferrable to many other aspects of silversmithing. You will be provided with take-home notes, including a list of suppliers
