Take your editing skills to the next level

Whether you are a photographer looking to advance your image editing skills or a digital artist looking to explore the use of Photoshop CC to further your art practice, this course provides you with a foundation in digital skills needed to take you to the next level in your editing.

The outcome of this course is to create a digital image composite by using the building blocks of Photoshop CC's array of tools whilst allowing you to explore your own creativity through a guided project that you build week by week over the duration of the course.

Topics explored include:
• Selection tools and Photoshop layers
• Non-destructive editing and adjustment layers
• Layer masks and further refining selections
• Smart objects, clipping masks and channels
• Creating digital composites.

During the duration of the course, you will have access to Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Participants will receive a Statement of Attendance and an A3 digital print of their choice on archival photo paper.

Requirements:

While the course provides basic directions, you should be comfortable with downloading files, saving them on your computer and locating them for use. You should feel comfortable acquiring digital images, either with a digital camera or using images that have been scanned.
Basic computer skills are required, such as using a mouse and creating or accessing folders.
Both Mac and Windows users are welcome.
