Short course on PLC for beginners
This course is aimed at beginners who would like to gain knowledge and operational skills on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). The course will enable individuals to develop, run & maintain PLCs on Logix 5000 Platform. Participants will gain hands-on practical training to program basic ladder logic instructions, Functional Block Diagram (FBD) for any Logix5000 controller.
Objectives of the Program
Be able to Program Logix 5000 controllers using ladder diagram, functional block diagram and how to employ common programming strategies and best practices.
Perform programming of different industrial applications on the Studio 5000 Logix Designer Software, RS Linx Gateway and Compact Logix controllers.
Perform a systematic process for diagnosing and troubleshooting problems in PLCs such as: faulty/malfunctioning field devices, controllers, I/O or other hardware issues, configuration issues

- Operations of Compact Logix PLC and its Architecture
- Introduction to Studio 5000 Logix Designer Software, ladder Logic & FBD Fundamentals
- Hands on Lab with related Application Examples on PLC (Compact Logix Controllers)
- Hands on Lab - PLC, I/Os and Communication with Ethernet IP & Device net Protocol
Who should attend?
This course is aimed at individuals who are working in the industry or those who are interested in the operations of PLCs. It is specifically aimed at individuals who require knowledge and skills in the industrial automation or manufacturing process.
The individual does not require any prior knowledge or working experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
