Are you interested in pottery or working with clay?

This course is designed for beginners who are interested in learning basic ceramic techniques in order to undertake the Ceramic Hand-building short course. Over two sessions you will learn the following basic ceramic techniques:

- How to build a pinch pot (bud vase)
- How to create a form using coiling
- How to make and use clay slabs for making decorative vessels or sculptures

These basic skills covered can then be used to make your own ceramics at home, or be further refined in the Ceramic Hand-building short course to create more complex forms and glaze your work under the guidance of a professional artist with over 20 years’ experience in ceramics.
