Simone Rigby
As a former sessional teacher, Simone is passionate about supporting students and enhancing their experience. When given the chance to transition into a non-teaching role, Simone recognised the opportunity to make a greater impact by improving procedures and compliance.
From roles in facilitating training to managing teams and project management, Simone has gone from strength to strength. In her current role in Academic Administration, Simone proactively suggests improvements, drives solutions and supports her team. With her curious and innovative mindset, Simone shows others how to get the job done and deliver results.
In 2025, Simone played a key role in Chisholm’s transition to My eQuals, successfully delivering more than 18,000 electronic awards and badges to students. Her work has significantly improved the student experience by giving them secure, immediate access to their achievements.
Alongside her operational work, Simone is an inspiring leader and a strong advocate for her team. She mentors colleagues in managing student refunds, withdrawals, billing plans and awards, ensuring processes are smooth, consistent and student‑centred. Her colleagues describe her as genuine, generous and deeply caring.
Her impact extends well beyond her department. She supports Chisholm’s events team at graduation events, ensuring awards are compliant and helping ceremonies run seamlessly. Always eager to grow, Simone actively seeks professional development opportunities, networks widely and shares her learning with others.
