Career advice for early school leavers

The Victorian Early Leaver Connection Initiative (VELCI) aims to enhance support for school-aged early school leavers.

The Career Advice Service (CAS) provides career advice for school-aged leavers, supporting their transition into and continued engagement in post-school education, training and employment.

The Chisholm Skills and Jobs Centre delivers this initiative across the Local Government Areas of Cardinia Shire, Casey, Frankston, Greater Dandenong and Mornington Peninsula Shire.

The service can help school leavers:

  • explore education, training and employment opportunities
  • identify pathways that align with personal interests and goals
  • connect with local support services where needed
  • stay engaged in education, training or work through ongoing support
