Justin’s story is one of extraordinary resilient, determination and hope.

After leaving school at 14, when a serious injury resulted in him becoming a quadriplegic, Justin spent years away from the classroom. Initially faced with self-doubt, Justin’s decision to enrol in the Certificate III in Business at Chisholm has replaced that with a renewed independence and sense of purpose.

Throughout his studies, Justin has not only met the challenges of his traineeship, but he has also excelled in them. In class, Justin showed immense initiative, creating intricate business scenarios and designing a hypothetical family-friendly computer store model to master customer service principles.

Justin has already made significant professional contributions at his workplace. He has redesigned government policy intake systems and improved reporting accuracy through his keen eye for detail.

Justin is driven by a deep desire to give back to the community that supported his recovery and gave him the confidence to navigate the world on his own terms. He is planning a fundraiser to purchase equipment for hospitals, ensuring future patients have access to the best possible care. He also intends to pursue further studies and establish himself as a mentor for others living with disabilities.

Justin is a worthy recipient of Chisholm’s 2026 Trainee of the Year. His journey is one of extraordinary resilience and determination.
