The Certificate III in Nursery Operations opens the door to an industry that plays an increasingly important role in supporting Australia’s sustainability and environmental goals. This course is suited to those who enjoy hands on work with plants and want to develop the skills needed to work in commercial nurseries, garden centres and plant production environments.
This qualification provides you with the practical skills and knowledge required to support nursery operations, including plant identification, care and maintenance. You’ll also develop important skills in chemical storage, biosecurity and propagation.
Your apprenticeship will be delivered through classroom learning and/or workplace experience. You’ll be guided by our expert teachers in our state-of-the-art greenhouses and nurseries. Upon successful completion of this course, you will have the confidence to excel in retail and production nursery roles.
