Extend your creative design language skills and set yourself up for an exciting career in the field of graphic communication design.

When you complete the popular Certificate IV in Design you’ll have a strong understanding of technical and conceptual design, including visual problem solving. The skills learned develop the direction of your learning journey. By multi-skilling in design you are building experience that will give you a competitive edge with employment opportunities and the ability to greater inform your design training.

You’ll take design concepts through to finished design stage according to industry standards and learn practical skills in areas such as design thinking, design communication, interpretation of design briefs, photo imaging, layout and typography. In addition you will build skills with industry based applications with a strong emphasis on Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

This one year course gives students a broad experience of design and facilitates each student’s understanding of their future direction in the graphic and communication design industries.

Students may also enrol into the Certificate IV in Visual Arts as part of a dual qualification.
