When you successfully complete the Certificate III in Plumbing, you’ll have the skills required to carry out a range of plumbing tasks with confidence.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in areas such as installation of air conditioning, sprinkler and gas piping systems, welding, blockage clearance, pipe fabrication, plan interpretation and workplace safety.

Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field, will guide you through the competency-based assessment program that can be undertaken in the workplace, at Chisholm, or a combination of both.
This nationally recognised qualification can be completed part time over three years in conjunction with on the job training. A training plan can be negotiated with employers to suit their requirements.
Once successfully completed, you can develop your skills further with Chisholm’s Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services.
INHERENT REQUIREMENTS
Whilst there are no minimum age requirements, all students must have a plumbing apprenticeship contract and be employed as a plumbing apprentice.

Core skills required for this course: literacy and numeracy range from levels two to three.
Physical: Whilst all OHS manual handing is adhered to, the course involves some digging in sand, lifting of plumbing materials, such as copper tubing and PVC piping like out on the job. As First Aid is a required unit to complete, students must be physically capable of sustaining CPR for two minutes.

Admission requirements
Apprentices must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer, Core skills required for this course: literacy and numeracy range from levels two to three, It is recommended school leaver students complete the pre-apprenticeship pathway (Certificate II) prior to enrolling, or complete a pre-training assessment for literacy and numeracy of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2, working level 3

Chisholm courses are subject to minimum and maximum group numbers. Courses may be cancelled or postponed if minimum numbers are not achieved by the start date of the course. Courses may close prior to the start date if the maximum numbers are reached. In that situation, eligible applicants will be offered a place in the next available intake.
