  INHERENT REQUIREMENTS
  
  Applicants will spend time in an outdoor environment performing landscape construction, maintenance and development tasks. Hot, cold, windy and rainy weather should be expected to be encountered. Where appropriate tasks will be undertaken on benches. A moderate level of physical fitness is required including the ability to stand for long periods, and to be able to squat and kneel at ground level and to use physically demanding tools and equipment. Applicants will be required to safely perform manual handling tasks including but not limited to: using shovels, wheelbarrows, moving materials such as soil, timber, rocks and paving materials. Applicants will be required to safely use equipment such as hand tools, power tools, plant and machinery.

  Applicants are also required to have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and email., Applicants must complete the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) assessment and achieve an outcome of ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3 for literacy and numeracy., Apprentices must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer
