Relocating from Queensland to Melbourne in 2024, Anthony was ready to start a new chapter in his life. With a background in primary school teaching and administration, Anthony wanted to help others. Initially, he explored a career in aged care but still felt drawn to education. Encouraged by his friends, Anthony completed his Cert IV in Training and Assessment and transitioned vocational education. This step reignited Anthony’s love of education, giving him a path forward in his career.
When he discovered Chisholm’s VETDSS Allied Health program, Anthony knew that this was the perfect role for him. The program allowed Anthony to combine his skills in a meaningful way, bringing his blend of compassion, leadership and teaching expertise to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
At the heart of everything he does, Anthony celebrates student success and wants the best for his students. He prioritises hands‑on learning to keep students focused, ensuring that they are engaged with their learning. Anthony will often adapt classes to suit his cohorts needs, establishing a genuine connection that helps young learners feel confident and supported.
Beyond the classroom, Anthony is a key contributor to the Allied Health teaching team. He mentors new trainers through curriculum challenges, provides technical guidance and acts as the vital link between trainers and the placement team. He works tirelessly to secure placements that align with each student’s interests and strengths. His efforts have streamlined placement coordination, reduced administrative pressure on colleagues and improved clarity and consistency for students.
Anthony’s tireless work is empowering the next generation of healthcare workers through his mentorship and genuine care.
Anthony is a finalist in the 2026 Chisholm Education Awards – Educator of the Year.
