Industry recognition
Microsoft is a global technology company that empowers people and organisations to achieve more through innovative software, services and devices. Microsoft is best known for products such as Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure and Xbox. They play a leading role in cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI) and enterprise technology.
Microsoft is partnering with Chisholm’s Digital Centre of Excellence as a founding member. This partnership will bring global experience to help strengthen Australia’s digital and AI capabilities.
As a founding partner, Microsoft will work closely with Chisholm to design and deliver practical digital and AI training programs for students, educators, industry and communities across Australia. The goal is to keep training aligned with real industry needs, new technologies and the skills required for future jobs.
A key part of the partnership is the creation of an Agent Factory with Microsoft. This initiative will support the development of foundational AI agents for education and training, while giving educators hands‑on experience with applied AI tools. The Agent Factory will help Chisholm demonstrate practical, ethical and scalable uses of AI in classrooms and workplaces.
Microsoft will contribute expertise and access to its global skills ecosystem to help Chisholm expand digital and AI programs at scale. This includes supporting new training pathways such as higher degree apprenticeships and digital traineeships, building educator capability, and helping shape advanced digital and simulation‑based learning environments. The partnership will also strengthen national consistency across the TAFE network, support applied research, and inform workforce planning through digital skills profiling and gap analysis.
Inclusion is a core focus, with targeted support for groups such as women in technology and learners in regional communities.
Chisholm’s Digital Centre of Excellence and Microsoft are building a long‑term partnership. Together, this partnership aims to boost Australia’s digital capability, close critical skills gaps and prepare Australians for success in an AI‑driven economy.
