Admission requirements

• Minimum age requirement: 18
• You must hold a Certificate III in Plumbing or
• Active plumbing apprentice who has satisfactorily completed all units of competency in Certificate III in Plumbing and awaiting employer sign-off for the issuing of the qualification
• Or be authorised to undertake plumbing work by an Australian regulator/licensing body.

Physical: The PLUMLICSS1 Skill Set is primarily theoretical, designed to enhance knowledge of advanced plumbing regulations and compliance standards. The physical requirements are minimal, as participants will primarily engage in classroom-based learning and computer-based activities.
Students may need to sit for extended periods, read and interpret complex materials, and utilise a computer for research, assignments, and assessments. In-class demonstrations or optional site visits might require basic physical stamina and comfort with movement. Good vision and hearing are helpful for reading materials, viewing technical diagrams, and participating in discussions. Overall, the physical demands are low, making
the skill set accessible to a wide range of individuals aiming to enhance their expertise in plumbing compliance and licensing.

Cognitive/Emotional:
The PLUMLICSS1 Skill Set demands strong cognitive skills, including analytical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to interpret and apply detailed regulatory information. Participants need attention to detail for tasks such as reviewing plumbing legislation, codes, and technical documentation. Emotional resilience is also important to manage the challenges of coursework, deadlines, and assessments. Effective communication and interpersonal skills will support collaboration with peers and instructors during the program. Familiarity with plumbing tasks like interpreting technical drawings, working with plumbing systems, and
understanding workplace safety standards will enhance participants' ability to apply theoretical knowledge practically.
