Gain the skills required to operate a hand-held chainsaw

Learn to maintain, prepare and operate hand-held chainsaws in a work environment.

This course defines the standard required to: select, use, maintain and store suitable personal protective equipment, carry out routine checks and maintenance on your chainsaw, apply appropriate chainsaw technique and cutting methods according to manufacturer's specifications, document low risk work procedures, assess and minimise environmental impacts of chainsaw use, maintain records of chainsaw training and certification, risk assessment and use.

On successful completion of this short course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following nationally accredited unit of competency: AHCMOM213 Operate and maintain chainsaws.
