All Skills and Jobs Centres services are FREE. We provide job seekers with advice on job opportunities, training advice and link you to a range of services across Melbourne’s south east.

Our specialist team of career professionals help jobseekers looking to enter the workforce, start training or re-skill. We also match employers with qualified job seekers to assist with their workforce needs.

The Chisholm Skills and Jobs Centre is part of a statewide Victorian Government program to assist potential students, job seekers, and employers.

Support we provide includes:

  • career advice and counselling
  • information on job and training opportunities
  • weekly workshops to help job seekers prepare for their next role
  • training options and pathway advice for upskilling employees
  • apprenticeship and traineeship advice
  • referrals and job matching to local employment opportunities
  • referrals to welfare support and financial advice
  • the latest information on government incentives, employment trends and in-demand skills.

We help people secure jobs across various industry sectors. This includes carpentry, plumbing, electrical, engineering, support work, business/administration, hospitality, electrical, hair and beauty, IT, automotive and many others.

Key support services and partnerships

Our Skills and Jobs centre also offers free styling and clothing services through Groomed to Go. These services are for women and men who do not have access to appropriate clothing for life events such as job interviews.

The Skills and Jobs Centre in partnership with the Springvale Learning and Activity Centre (SLAC) delivers a free English for Work program every Wednesday.  Contact us below to learn more or to register for this program.

Our opening hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. We have staff located at various locations across the South East of Melbourne.
