Top apprentice Leigh Hyman describes what it's like to study Automotive at Chisholm

Leigh Hyman doesn’t do thing by halves.

Once the car lover decided to gain some qualifications to support her position at Pro Street Automotive in Frankston, she completed Certificate III in Automotive Technology (Light Vehicle), Certificate II in Air Conditioning, LPG Accreditation, Advanced Engine Management and Motorsport Suspension, and Certificate IV in Automotive Technology.

Her efforts saw Leigh named the 2013 Chisholm Apprentice of the Year. "I was shocked, I didn’t see it coming," she says.

Receiving recognition for the hard work you have put into your studies is very satisfying, Leigh adds, and she loves to encourage others to follow in her footsteps.

"I like to encourage other students to do better and to see me as setting the example," she says.
