In this workshop, you’ll learn how to construct a sterling silver bracelet from scratch — shaping, soldering and assembling each component by hand. Held in a relaxed and supportive environment, this course is ideal for those wanting to strengthen their soldering skills and explore articulated jewellery design.
Across two sessions, you’ll experience the full making process — from forming consistent silver links to constructing and finishing a completed bracelet.
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
• How to measure and plan a bracelet to suit your wrist
• Forming consistent links using sterling silver wire
• Cutting, shaping and preparing links for soldering
• Using easy, medium and hard solder in a multi-stage project
• Assembling and aligning links into a flexible chain
• Constructing and attaching a functional clasp
• Filing, sanding and polishing to achieve a professional finish

In the first session, you’ll focus on forming and soldering your links. In the second session, you’ll assemble your bracelet, create or attach a clasp, and refine and polish your finished piece.
With guidance from our experienced facilitator, you’ll develop confidence in precision soldering and chain construction techniques while creating a bracelet that reflects your personal style.
You’ll also receive helpful notes and a supplier list so you can continue exploring chain-making techniques beyond the course.
