Across two sessions, you’ll experience the full making process — from fabricating your ring band to setting and polishing your finished piece.

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

• How to measure and form a sterling silver ring band

• Accurate ring sizing and soldering techniques

• Measuring and shaping bezel strip to fit a cabochon stone

• Constructing and soldering a bezel setting

• Preparing a clean and precise stone seat

• Securely setting a cabochon using bezel pushers and burnishers

• Filing, sanding and polishing to achieve a professional finish

In the first session, you’ll fabricate your ring band and construct your bezel setting, learning correct solder sequencing and precise fabrication techniques.
In the second session, you’ll assemble your components, set your stone, and refine and polish your ring to its final form.

With guidance from our experienced facilitator, you’ll create a ring that reflects your personal style — whether minimal and refined, softly textured, or bold with a statement stone.

You’ll also receive helpful notes and a supplier list so you can continue developing your stone setting skills beyond the course.
