HSR Refresher OHS Training Course - Aggression or Violence

This WorkSafe-approved training course will help HSRs to understand and exercise their powers effectively.

Workplace aggression or violence can pose significant health and safety risks across a range of industries. Through practical activities and relevant case studies, you'll refresh your understanding of how to identify, prevent and control these risks and support safer workplaces.

You'll build confidence in representing your designated work group when addressing health and safety concerns related to workplace aggression or violence. Training is delivered by experienced educators with strong industry knowledge to help you stay current and build capability in your role.

HSR training entitlements
Under section 67 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, elected HSRs and deputy HSRs are entitled to attend a WorkSafe-approved HSR refresher training course on paid time. Employers must also cover the cost of the course and any reasonable associated expenses.

HSRs can choose their preferred WorkSafe-approved refresher course in consultation with their employer.

Prerequisite: Completion of the HSR Initial OHS Training Course
