This course has replaced the Red Card and covers the basic Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Induction course which, under OHS regulations, must be completed before you start work on a construction site.
Successful completion of this course will see you attain the following unit of competency - CPCCOHS1001 Work Safely in the Construction Industry and receive a Statement of Attainment.
If you decide to progress to a nationally recognised qualification that includes this unit, you will be able to get recognition of this prior learning.
You’ll need to produce a copy of photo identification and your USI number (www.usi.gov.au) on the day of your class.
Your card will be issued by WorkSafe within 60 days of your course completion.
Conversational English skills such as reading, writing and speaking are required so that you can complete the assessment, read and interpret signs and procedures, and communicate clearly in the workplace. It is a WorkSafe Victoria directive that an interpreter must not be used.
You must be 16 years or over to enrol in this course.
By enrolling in this course, the student agrees and understands that refunds will not be given to students who do not meet the required literacy skills to successfully complete this course.
