Your first step into a meaningful healthcare career
Stepping into the role of a health services assistant is your introduction to the fast paced, rewarding world of healthcare. Throughout this course, you will learn what it’s like to be part of a clinical team and gain firsthand insight into how hospitals and health services operate day to day. Your will work alongside nurses, allied health professionals and other care staff, contributing to safe, efficient, and person-centred care.
You will develop the skills to support a wide range of essential tasks—transporting patients, maintaining clinical spaces, preparing equipment, and providing practical assistance to health professionals. Everything you learn helps ensure that patients receive timely, coordinated care and that the broader team can perform their roles effectively.
Whether you’re exploring a future career in healthcare or looking for a structured, supportive entry point into the field, this course gives you a strong foundation. You gain practical experience, professional guidance, and the confidence to grow within a real clinical environment.
