During the course, you’ll learn about electrical principles; trade theory and practice; telecommunications; general contracting; electrical wiring; industrial control; and workplace safety. Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field, will guide you through the program, which involves a combination of theory and practice. This nationally recognised qualification is the course that you need to complete prior to being able to sit for Energy Safe Victoria’s Electricians licence.

Admission requirements
All students must have a registered USI and complete a pre-training review prior to enrolment, Apprentices must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer, Be physically capable of sustaining CPR for at least two (2) minutes on the floor to successfully complete the requirements of the course, Complete a pre-training assessment for language, literacy and numeracy skills., Please Note: Students need to have sufficient mobility and dexterity to navigate simulated building sites (including working at heights) and manual handling of building materials, tool and equipment.

Chisholm courses are subject to minimum and maximum group numbers. Courses may be cancelled or postponed if minimum numbers are not achieved by the start date of the course. Courses may close prior to the start date if the maximum numbers are reached. In that situation, eligible applicants will be offered a place in the next available intake.
