Grow your specialised skillset to work with individuals, families and groups in the community to deliver, manage and coordinate support services.
The Diploma of Community Services will teach you to support others and make changes in their lives. You'll develop skills to work within the community sector under broad directions from senior management. You'll learn to improve personal and social wellbeing, be responsible for the supervision of others, and undertake case management and program coordination.
As part of this course, you will gain workplace experience within a host community organisation. Work placements often lead to ongoing employment and give you confidence to start your career in community service.
This program is accredited by the professional body, Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA) and nationally recognised. It provides our students with a competitive edge for employment compared to those students from non-ACWA accredited courses. This accreditation is valuable to you as a graduate as it confirms the professional reputation of our programs.
After graduating, you can apply for full membership and registration with ACWA. You'll also be a strong candidate for employment in larger government departments.
