Our Bachelor of Psychology accepts any diploma from any registered training organisation in Australia as entry to the second year.
Progress your career in psychology, counselling, and mental health through advanced social, community and research psychology skills with entry from your Diploma. If you have a Diploma, this counts as the first year of your Psychology degree. Chisholm’s Associate Degree and Bachelor of Psychology combine the work-ready elements of Diplomas with the research, statistical and theoretical understanding of psychology. Chisholm Psychology programs use the Pathway Degree model developed within the Higher Education College, allowing entry into accredited Psychology programs through non-traditional pathways.
Our psychology programs combine the work-ready elements of health related Diplomas with the research, statistical and theoretical understanding of psychology and psychological disorders. Our psychology program is three phased, with phase one consisting of a Diploma. The second phase of the program delivers the Associate Degree component over one year. Students have the option to leave the program at the conclusion of this year with a recognised Diploma and Associate Degree of Psychology.
The third and final phase of the program consists of a further year of study and the completion of the Bachelor degree. Students who successfully complete this phase leave the program with their Diploma and the Bachelor of Psychology. Each of the degree phases are associated with both specific Course Learning Outcomes and broader Chisholm Graduate Attributes. The Chisholm Bachelor of Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
