This scholarship is available for Higher education degree program intakes in 2024. This scholarship is available for new and existing students commencing their new semesters in 2024.

Details

The Chisholm Higher Education International Scholarship will be offered to all applicants that meet the minimum entry academic and English requirement to study at Chisholm.

The scholarship will be offered from the 2nd semester at a value of $1,200 per semester subject to students meeting certain requirements including no outstanding fees, maintaining satisfactory academic progression, and meeting minimum attendance requirements. The total scholarship value over 3 years could be up to $6,000.

Existing students studying a higher education/undergraduate program at Chisholm will also be eligible to apply for this scholarship subject to students meeting certain requirements including no outstanding fees, maintaining satisfactory academic progression, and meeting minimum attendance requirements.

For students undertaking a diploma to degree pathway, the scholarship will only be awarded from the second semester of the degree program. In this case, a maximum scholarship to the value of $3,600 is available. Students in this pathway would need to meet certain requirements including no outstanding fees, maintaining satisfactory academic progression, and meeting minimum attendance requirements.

Eligibility

  • Must be a new commencing student in the upcoming February 2024 intake.
  • Must be an existing/continuing student at Chisholm undertaking a higher education/undergraduate program.
  • Scholarship will be awarded from the second semester only.
  • Student would need to meet certain requirements including no outstanding fees, maintaining satisfactory academic progression, and meeting minimum attendance requirements.

Terms and Conditions

  • Chisholm will consider you as an international student only if you hold a Subclass 500 student visa or are applying for a Subclass 500 student visa.
  • Scholarship value is maximum AUD$6,000 over a 3-year period for a student enrolled in a direct 3-year bachelor’s degree.
  • Scholarship value is maximum AUD$3,600 over a 2-year period for a student enrolled in a 2-year bachelor’s degree or a diploma leading to a bachelor’s degree.
  • Scholarship can only be awarded to international students undertaking a higher education degree program at Chisholm Institute.
  • No separate application is required for this Scholarship will be awarded if a student is eligible to obtain admission into a higher education program at Chisholm Institute. Scholarship will be awarded from the second semester only. The student must maintain satisfactory attendance and satisfactory academic progress to continue to receive the scholarship per semester; and have no outstanding debt.
    • For a new commencing higher education student, the scholarship will be awarded from the second semester where students have maintained satisfactory attendance and satisfactory academic progress; and have no outstanding debt.
    • For an existing/continuing student, pro-rata scholarship will be awarded for student that have maintained a satisfactory attendance and satisfactory academic progress in the previous semester; and have no outstanding
  • The student will continue to remain eligible to receive the Chisholm International Higher Education Scholarship per semester providing the student maintains satisfactory attendance and satisfactory academic progress; and clears outstanding debt by an agreed
  • Students will need to maintain a full study load. However, if a student is not on a full study load, the eligibility for this scholarship will be determined on a case-by-case basis by Chisholm.
  • Students on an approved deferment/leave of absence may be eligible to continue receiving this scholarship when returning to studies. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis by
  • Students that receive advanced standing/credit transfers for previous studies may be eligible for the Chisholm International Higher Education Scholarship from the second semester Conditions apply.
  • The Chisholm International Higher Education Scholarship is not refundable, convertible to cash, or transferable to another individual, semester, study period, or course.
  • The Chisholm International Higher Education Scholarship is awarded at the sole discretion of the Chisholm Institute can make any changes to the scholarship terms and conditions without any notice.
  • Chisholm’s decision around the eligibility for the scholarship is final, and there is no right of appeal should the student be unsuccessful in securing the scholarship, or has the scholarship withdrawn.
  • If a student withdraws/transfers from a course, Chisholm Institute reserves the right to request the student to repay the value of scholarship back to Chisholm provided the withdrawal/transfer/cancellation has been approved by Chisholm.

Application process

To be eligible to receive this scholarship, new students will need to apply for the upcoming February 2024 intake, pay the required fee to obtain a confirmation of enrolment (COE) and successfully obtain a Subclass 500 student visa. For existing/continuing students, the international student recruitment and admissions team will contact the respective delivery areas and obtain information around progression, fees, and attendance prior to applying this scholarship.
