Understand the hazards associated with working at heights
The AS/NZS 1891 series defines us as working at heights when we are at risk of an injury resulting from a fall from one level to another. Note that the Victorian Falls Prevention Guide states that the Regulations apply when there is potential of a fall more than 2 metres.
Injury can occur from a fall from any height, including under 2 metres and therefore adequate risk assessment must be undertaken and sufficient control measures added to ensure the risk is at an acceptable level.
