  This nationally recognised qualification is highly valued by employers and may lead to work as a trainer or assessor at a registered training organisation.

  Once successfully completed, you can develop your skills further with Chisholm’s Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50116) and/or Diploma of Training Design and Development (TAE50216).
  
  Chisholm specify important requirements for students that they need to understand before they can undertake the course. These include:
  Physical:
  • stand, walk or move across spaces for prolonged periods (more than 30 minutes) to complete role play delivery
  
  Interpersonal:
  • strong abilities in reading, writing and oral English language communication.
  • an ability to constructively give and receive critical feedback.
  • an ability to follow and provide verbal and written instructions.
  • an ability to interpret private information and maintain confidentiality.
  • emotional flexibility and stability to cater to the varying needs of learners
  • ability to handle general stressors (meeting deadlines, task management, managing expectation, etc.)
  
  Cognitive:
  • good / competent computer literacy, including but not limited to the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), email functions, internet browsing and other general computer functions.

• Admission requirements

  Applicants must demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching/assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge/experience, and may include, but not limited to, holding relevant unit of competency or qualification, Basic proficiency skills with software (Microsoft Office or similar) are essential to complete activities in class, and assessments. Applicants should self-assess these computer skills prior to enrolling, Completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF 4 – Reading, and ACSF 2 - Numeracy is required, online students must be 18 yrs or older at time of course commencement, Prospective applicants will be required to undertake a pre-course interview during the enrolment process.

  Annual scholarships may be available to eligible students suffering financial hardship through the Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation.
