  Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field, will guide you through the project-based training.
  
  While this nationally recognised qualification may lead to a plumbing apprenticeship, many students go on to study higher level courses before gaining employment.
  
  This accredited pre-apprenticeship course can be completed full time over 8 weeks. It is also offered as a VET Delivered to Secondary Schools program, which can be studied over two years during VCE. Once complete, you can develop your skills further with Chisholm’s Certificate III in Plumbing. If you gain an apprenticeship after finishing this course, the schooling component of your apprenticeship training may be reduced.

  INHERENT REQUIREMENTS
  Core skills required for this course: literacy and numeracy range from levels two to three.
  
  Physical: Whilst all OHS manual handing is adhered to, the course involves some digging in sand, lifting of plumbing materials, such as copper tubing and PVC piping like out on the job. As First Aid is a required unit to complete, students must be physically capable of sustaining CPR for two minutes.

• Admission requirements

  Admission requirements are completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3, for both literacy and numeracy, Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age at the time of course commencement and complete a pre-training assessment for literacy and numeracy., Parental agreement for students under 18 years of age required
