Make Chisholm Your First Preference

At Chisholm, we believe that your future and your success have nothing to do with your ATAR. This is why we offer a number of alternative pathways to get you into your dream course, and also get you into your dream career sooner.

You don’t need an ATAR to get into our courses*. At the same time, we are proud to deliver high-quality courses that lead to nationally recognised qualifications and real career outcomes. Our teachers are experienced both as teachers and on the field, and they will provide you with a fantastic learning experience as well as the support you need.

Chisholm pathways begin with a certificate or a diploma course; successful completion of these gives you advanced standing into the related degree course through one of our university partners. The combination of vocational and academic studies gives you theory, practical skills, and work experience, which is exactly the mix that employers are looking for.

By taking a Chisholm pathway, you can gain up to four qualifications in as little as three years. And because you earn vocational qualifications before your degree, you can start working in the field earlier. This makes a pathway a more cost-effective option, and means that the start of your career – and your independent life – could be just a few months away.

Another benefit is that many of our pathway certificates and diplomas are in the Victorian Government's Free TAFE courses list. With Free TAFE you don’t have to pay tuition fees when studying on-campus, or pay any fees whatsoever if studying one of these courses online.

We are currently offering the following Chisholm and La Trobe University degrees:

And with ten campus locations including online, you can study close to home, and save time and money.

So if employment instead of a degree is your goal, why not make Chisholm your Plan A rather than your Plan B? We can customise a pathway that will help you chase – and catch – your calling sooner.

* Some courses may require VCE subjects. We strongly recommend you check the prerequisites of the course you’re interested in, or get in touch for more information.
