You can apply directly to Chisholm and secure your place in a course today.

Step one - Complete the application form

Click on "Apply Now" on the course page, and fill in the mandatory fields on the course application form. Once you submit this form, you'll be sent an email and SMS with a link and login to the second part of the application process, where you will need to fill in more details about your personal circumstances and education history. The second part of the application form must be completed in order for you to enrol.

A Chisholm customer service officer will contact you and discuss your application and book you into an enrolment session, where fees are to be paid to secure your place. If you wish to apply for more than one course, each course needs a separate application.

Make sure you include your Unique Student Identifier (USI). If you haven't got one, make sure you have applied for one. Find out about the USI

Step two - Gather your personal documents

To complete your enrolment, you will be asked to provide the following documents.

Proof of permanent residency is required for all courses. We accept any of the following original documents or certified copies as proof:

  • Current green Medicare card
  • Australian Birth Certificate (not Birth Extract)
  • Current Australian or New Zealand Passport
  • Naturalisation Certificate
  • Formal Department of Home Affairs document confirming permanent residency.

If you are aged under 20 and the document you provide does not include your date of birth, you must also provide proof of age. We accept any of these original documents:

  • Drivers Licence
  • Learner Permit
  • Keypass card
  • Proof of Age card

If you are claiming a concession, you must provide one of the following:

  • Health Care Card
  • Veterans Gold Card
  • Pensioner Concession Card

Step three - Pre-Training Review

The Pre-Training Review process ensures the training you’re applying for will suit you. This process helps to ensure that your chosen course is tailored to your individual needs and capabilities.

To be eligible for Victorian Government subsidised funding for your course, through the Skills First scheme, students are required to undertake this process.

Step four - Language, Literacy Numeracy (LLN) Assessment

To be eligible for government-subsidised funding or to access a VET Student Loan, you may need to undertake the LLN assessment. You will NOT need to undertake the LLN assessment if you:

  • have completed an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate and can show evidence (originals or certified copies)
  • have completed an AQF certificate IV level or higher and can provide evidence (originals or certified copies)
  • are enrolling in any of Chisholm’s Foundation College programs
  • are enrolling at Chisholm as an international student
  • are enrolling in a Chisholm course that does not attract Skills First funding
  • are enrolling in a Chisholm higher education course.

A Chisholm Customer Service Officer will advise you further about this step when they contact you about your enquiry or application.

Step five - Attend an enrolment session

You will meet with an educator who will help finalise your enrolment, including payment.
