Cyber security is the fastest growing area of Information Technology.

With the rise in new technologies presenting a risk to local and global security, it’s not hard to see how. Chisholm has responded with a course specifically designed in collaboration with industry partners.

The Certificate IV in Cyber Security is a high tech and high-speed program that will prepare you with the skills and knowledge required to be job ready in a rapidly growing sector.

Learn network security fundamentals, incident response plans, ethics and privacy within an ICT environment, analyse data and present research.

This course provides for a range of possibilities within the Information Technology sector, including penetration testing, human hacking, network and IT security. The skills acquired will provide a multitude of career options worldwide.

This course is the culmination of industry partners and colleagues collaboration; it is part of a unique pathway to the Advanced Diploma of Cyber Security.

The role of a cyber security practitioner is to detect or determine breaches in network and system security and to escalate an incident to the security response team. A cyber security practitioner works with a range of stakeholders (either internal or external to the organisation) that need to be aware of a threat or vulnerability.

Our cyber security course has been developed in conjunction with significant industry consultation comprising of cyber security specialists in the security, Information Technology, and telecommunications industries.

The Certificate IV in Cyber Security prepares you for a career as a cyber security paraprofessional. Gain the comprehensive technical skills and knowledge to:

• understand the risks of cyber security attacks
• monitor the risks of cyber security attacks
• assist in the preparation and implementation of appropriate mitigation solutions
• use a range of tools and procedures to identify and block cyber security threats
• assist to protect an organisation from insider security breaches
• assist in the development and implementation of risk mitigation solutions for cloud systems
• assist in the implementation of privacy and compliance policies in accordance with Australian Cyber Law.
