Job openings for childcare workers are expected to continue growing, with workforce numbers across the country projected to exceed 150,000 by 2020.

Workers in the sector mainly provide care and supervision for children in residential homes and non-residential childcare centres. Job roles include child care workers, family day care workers, nannies, and out-of-school-hours care workers.

At Chisholm, students are offered a number of courses ranging from Certificate III to Diploma and a pathway into the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, a degree program delivered in partnership with Deakin University.

Training facilities for early childhood education at Chisholm include fully equipped classrooms and simulated child care environments where students gain hands-on experience caring for young children.

Chisholm's Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care offers a comprehensive and graded qualification which is an entry requirement for students looking to enter into the bachelor degree.
