This course has been designed for staff already employed in, or those looking to work in a food services or house keeping/cleaning role within the health and aged care sector. The course will give you practical skills in food preparation, as well as learning the most up to date methods of cleaning, specifically using steam and microfibre.
The course is a dual program which covers a cleaning services stream and food services stream. Role functions are carried out under supervision and require the use of some discretion and judgement.
Workers who have completed this qualification may also work in a team leadership, workplace training or leading hand function but would not be delivering direct care to clients and patients in health and aged care facilities.
