Congratulations to Chisholm graduate Nicholas Steer announced as a finalist in this year’s Victorian Training Awards in the category of Trainee of the Year.
Nicholas completed a Certificate IV in Business and gained a Traineeship with Expressions Australia. He has reached many significant achievements in his career and personal life.
Nicholas, who has been deaf since the age of three, has become an advocate for the deaf and hearing-impaired communities and is the current Youth Governor for the YMCA Victoria Youth Parliament Program.
Nicholas was awarded Student of the Year in the Trainee category for the Chisholm Education Awards in 2019. After graduating last year, Nicholas went on to become an Australian Delegate at the World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section General Assembly in Paris, France.
We wish Nicholas continued success in his career and advocacy, and in his journey to the finals of the Victorian Training Awards, which will be held later in the year.
