The Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation has celebrated another successful year with their annual thank you events held at Chisholm’s Dandenong and Peninsula campuses.
The mission of the Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation is to help students in financial hardship receive a high quality, vocational educational qualification at Chisholm Institute. Scholarships are issued for course fees or material costs, depending on the needs of each individual student.
In 2019, a total of 330 scholarships were provided to students who needed financial support to complete their education and training. More than 260 students from the Mornington Peninsula have received scholarship support from the Foundation over the past five years.
Foundation Chair, David Willersdorf said the annual thank you event is an opportunity for the Foundation to congratulate scholarship recipients and to thank the many very generous donors, sponsors and supporters from the Mornington Peninsula for their contribution to the Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation.
“CCEF scholarships put Chisholm students one step closer to making positive changes for their future education and employment opportunities. This builds their self-esteem and self-worth, making them meaningful role models for their family and community,” Mr Willersdorf said.
