How do I enrol?

You can enrol online, over the phone, in person, email. Find out more by visiting How to enrol in a short course.

Will I receive an enrolment confirmation?

Yes, your enrolment confirmation will be emailed to you on the day your enrolment is processed.

How do I know what room my course is in?

One working day prior to your course commencement you will receive an SMS  and email  with room number and start time.

Do I need a parking permit?

You are not required to display a parking permit for your car to park on our campuses and no infringement notices will be issued, but enforcement will continue for failure to park in designated bays and for safety-related matters.

What is the campus address?

Visit our Locations page to confirm campus address and download a campus map if required.  A link to our locations page is also included in your enrolment confirmation.

What do I need to bring?

If you need to bring anything specific to your short course this will be specified in your enrolment confirmation letter.

What statement will I receive from my short course?

If you enrol in and pass an assessed short course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment.  If you enrol in and pass a non-assessed short course, you will receive a Statement of Attendance.

When will I receive my statement?

Statement of Attendance: You may receive this in your last class.  If not, it will be posted within 30 days.
Statement of Attainment: This will be posted within four to six weeks of your last class.

What if I need my certificate for work?

Please discuss this with you trainer. Short Courses cannot give certificate requirement advice.

What if I can't attend the short course?

What if my course is cancelled?

We will SMS and email you two working days prior to your course commencement if your course is cancelled. For more information, please see Terms and Conditions

When is the latest I can enrol?

You can enrol online up until midnight the night prior to course commencement.

Courses below require pre-learning:

  • RSA Responsible Service of Alcohol SC557B closes one week prior to commencement date.
  • Operate and Maintain Chainsaws SC502 closes one week prior to commencement date.
  • Provide First Aid SC103 – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR SC101 –closes two weeks prior to commencement date.

For all other courses please ensure your enrolment application is received and processed by 5pm on the last working day prior to the course commencing. 

Please note: Delivery departments will assess enrolment numbers and may choose to cancel a course two working days prior to the course commencement if there is insufficient enrolments.  To avoid disappointment we encourage you to enrol at least three working days prior to course commencement.

Do I require a USI (Unique Student Identifier)?

If you are enrolling in an assessed course you will need a USI. Visit https://www.usi.gov.au/ to obtain your USI.

If you do not provide a USI at time of enrolment we cannot issue the Statement of Attainment.  We encourage you to include your USI  on your enrolment for
If you are enrolling in a non-assessed course you do not require a USI.

Terms and conditions

  1. Chisholm reserves the right to cancel classes at any time prior to their commencement. If a class is cancelled, students will be advised by SMS and email no later than two days prior to its scheduled commencement date.
  2. We require a current mobile and email address to communicate details relating to your application.
  3. NO REFUNDS or transfers will be granted on or after commencement date of a course.
  4. If you wish to cancel your enrolment you must provide us with written notification to shortcourseenrolments@chisholm.edu.au stating your full name and course details.
  5. Where your enrolment has been processed and notification of your cancellation is received five business days or more prior to the class commencement a full refund will apply.
  6. Where your enrolment has been processed and notification of your cancellation is received within five business days of the course commencement date, a refund minus an administration fee will apply.
  7. Refunds will be issued in cheque and all refunds will be paid to the same person or organisation who paid the fees.
  8. If you wish to transfer your enrolment to another date you must provide us with written notification to shortcourseenrolments@chisholm.edu.au stating your full name and course details.
  9. Transfer to a new class will be processed where your request for your transfer is received five days or more prior to the class commencement.
  10. Transfer to a new class will not be processed where your request for your transfer is received within five business days of the course commencement date unless third party supporting documentation can be provided.
  11. If alternative dates are not available funds will remain in the students account.
  12. Please note: As a condition of your enrolment you will be required to provide further statistical information upon attendance at your first class.
  13. By enrolling in this course you are agreeing you have the minimum entry requirements for this course.
  14. A USI number is required for assessed courses.
  15. Statement of Attendance or Statement of Attainments will be posted to the student within four to six weeks after course completion.
  16. Due to Privacy compliance we cannot issue student details or outcomes to employers.
