This two-day short course covers basics of safely entering and working in confined spaces, working in accordance with an issued permit and providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

The course is suitable for individuals whose role may require them to enter and carry out work in confined spaces in accordance with an issued permit and provide CPR in an emergency.

Some common examples of confined spaces include but not limited to storage tanks, silos, process vessels, boilers, ducts, manholes, wet wells, mixers, vats, tunnels, shipboard spaces, pits, degreasers, tankers, pipes, side entry pits and stormwater drains.

Those areas of industry currently operating in Victoria are under the control of the Occupational Health and Safety (Confined Spaces) Regulations 2017.

The course covers the following nationally recognised units of competency:
• RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces
• MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit
• HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
