The fully equipped Mornington Peninsula Hair and Beauty Salon is open to the public, allowing students to gain practical experience in the areas of hairdressing, make up and beauty therapy.
With a range of facilities including the training restaurant Casuarinas and a fully-equipped kitchen, hospitality programs at Chisholm Mornington Peninsula are led by Jan Watson, a 20-year industry veteran who has worked at international five star hotels including Claridge’s in London as well as with MasterChef celebrities Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris at Melbourne’s Sofitel Hotel.
One of the best-equipped turf management training facilities in the state, the horticulture training complex at Chisholm Mornington Peninsula includes greenhouses, a turf management training facility and sports turf assessment areas.
Chisholm Mornington Peninsula has outstanding facilities designed to provide an environment of learning excellence. Teachers are friendly and supportive and with a dedicated shuttle bus service linking it to Rosebud town centre, the campus is easy to reach.
Chisholm Mornington Peninsula has a fully equipped Beauty Therapy salon to allow students to train in a simulated environement and develop 'real-world' skills.
The dedicated bricklaying area at Chisholm Mornington Peninsula is one of the leading training facilities of its type in the region and allows students to build up practical bricklaying skills and gain an insight into the industry.
Course hours per week maybe less than full time but take longer to complete.

What will it cost me if I qualify for a government subsidised place?
In 2012 the government will pay majority of the cost of your training, if you are eligible.
Concessions are currently under review subject to the offical announcement from the Victorian Government and the impact of the State Budget on ongoing funding for the VET sector.

You will still pay some fees depending on the course category and now that we can offer elegible students VET FEE HELP loans or Staged Payment Plans, learning is even more affordable.

To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.
With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases, you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
