With a range of training areas that include a construction barn, machine shop and cabinet building department, Chisholm has some of the best building and construction facilities in the region.
Chisholm Frankston’s fully operational hairdressing and beauty salons have the latest equipment to provide students with a ‘real world’ training experience. As part of their training, our highly skilled students provide clients with a range of hair, nail or other beauty treatments under the expert guidance of our trainers. This boosts confidence and reinforces skills, as well as providing the opportunity to hone their customer service.
The Health Education Clinical Laboratory at Frankston has state-of-the-art technology to give students the most realistic training environment possible. The six-bed simulated ward area features a range of training aids including human patient manikins, some of which can simulate physiological characteristics such as pulse, blood pressure, respiration and bowel sounds. Additional features include a fully functional shower and toileting area.
The $5.6 million Business Centre at Frankston is a centre of learning excellence in the region and offers a full range of facilities and resources to allow students to achieve their training goals. As a member of the Victorian Business Enterprise Centre Network, the Chisholm Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) is also part of Chisholm Frankston, offering low cost, practical assistance to support the development of new and existing small businesses.
Close to the Mornington Peninsula's booming spa circuit, Chisholm Frankston is ideally placed - and superbly resourced - to provide training in massage, myotherapy and a wide range of complementary techniques and therapies.
The number of industries requiring science graduates is growing daily. Chisholm Frankston's science department boasts state-of-the-art technology and equips graduates to work in a variety of fields including pathology, gene technology, environmental testing and the food and dairy industries.

Students enrolling in a govt-subsidised course up to Cert IV who hold a current Commonwealth Healthcare Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veterans' Gold Card (or who are the dependent spouse of a cardholder) are eligible for concessions.Students who were under 25 at Jan 1 2012, and are continuing in the diploma or advanced diploma they enrolled in prior to July 1, 2012, will also be eligible for a concessions if they hold a current Commonwealth Healthcare Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veterans' Gold Card (or are the dependent a cardholder). To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.
With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases, you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
