    Certificate IV In Business

    Learn the skills you need to effectively manage the office administration aspects of a business.

    When you complete the Certificate IV in Business, you’ll have the confidence and ability to direct a variety of workplace administration functions.

    You’ll learn practical skills in areas such as development of presentations, spreadsheets, databases and desktop publishing documents, along with organisation of travel, meetings and safe workplace practices. Specialist streams in medical, finance and general administration are also available.

      Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field, will guide you through the program, which involves office simulated activities, research, report writing and compilation of portfolios of evidence. There will also be opportunities for practical placement in industry.

      This nationally recognised qualification may lead to employment in roles such as administration officer, legal/medical secretary or personal assistant.

      The course can be completed part time over one and a half years or full time over six months.

      We offer flexible and supportive study options (including on site or online) to fit in with your work or lifestyle.

      Once complete, this qualification will provide a guaranteed pathway into Chisholm’s Diploma of Business Administration. And you’ll be able to gain credit for your studies if you choose to undertake a Bachelor of Business in the future.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
