    In this course, you'll progress through two commercial building projects, working individually and in teams to complete set tasks in a simulated work environment.

    Successful completion of this course fulfils the minimum educational requirements for registration as a building surveyor (limited) with the Building Commission.

    Areas of study include: Construction and structural assessment of buildings up to three storeys, geotechnical design, building codes and standards, fire technology, building surveying procedures, production costs and people performance.

    Applying and Enrolling

    To enrol at Chisholm, you need to apply, and then be accepted. Procedures to apply for courses vary. A TAFE application may go through VTAC, for example. In other cases the application may be direct to Chisholm or through your employer or school.

    With a successful Chisholm Institute of TAFE application, in some cases,  you may need to attend an information session or submit a portfolio prior to completing your enrolment.
