Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
VCE is the certificate that the majority of students in Victoria receive on satisfactory completion of their secondary education. The VCE provides diverse pathways to further study or training at Chisholm and to employment. Like the VCAL also offered by Chisholm, VCE is an accredited secondary certificate and is the same qualification delivered at high school.
At Chisholm, you can complete Year 11 or Year 12 in one year, and move straight into a career or further study.
Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL)
Chisholm’s VCAL programs are a hands-on option for students in Years 11 and 12. The VCAL gives students a practical work-related experience, as well as literacy and numeracy skills and the opportunity to build personal skills that are important for life and work. Like the VCE also offered by Chisholm, the VCAL is an accredited secondary certificate and is the same qualification delivered at high school.
Chisholm delivers programs for the VCAL from foundation through to senior level across our locations in Melbourne’s south east.
At Berwick TEC, Year 11 and Year 12 students can also study a range of courses from allied health, automotive, building trades, graphics, landscaping and hair and beauty while completing a VCAL, so they complete a high school qualification and a certificate.
