All workshops are held at Casey Tech School, 25 Kangan Drive, Berwick and are free to attend

OzGrav Early Primary (ages 5-9)

Take a trip out into the solar system with a virtual reality headset. Learn about planets, stars and gravitational waves, but don’t get too close to a black hole or it might turn you into spaghetti!

Date and time: Tuesday 16 April. 9.30am-10.30am 

OzGrav Late Primary (ages 9-12)

Travel through the universe in virtual reality! Get up close to planets, stars, black holes, and gravitational waves and learn how scientists study them.

Date and time: Tuesday 16 April.11am-12 noon
Cost: Free

OzGrav Early Secondary (ages 12-15) – Girls Only

Students collaborate in science investigation in which they travel to stars in virtual reality and use tools to collect data to study stars and how they live... and die!

Date and time: Tuesday 16 April. 1pm-2pm 

OzGrav Open Demos (all ages)

Take a trip out into the solar system and beyond in a virtual reality headset! OzGrav’s amazing VR system takes six people at once to a virtual universe full of planets, stars, black holes and of course, gravitational waves! Visitors are guided by experienced scientists to the planets, stars, and far reaching galaxies to the most extreme objects in the universe.

Investigating robotics and coding (ages 10-14)

Use a variety of entry level robotics to solve a real challenge in the advanced manufacturing industries. Programming will include block coding (‘drag and drop’).

Sustainable housing (Ages 16+)

Learn how to use sustainable materials and practices to build and maintain energy efficient housing.

Date and time: Wednesday 17 April. 9.30am-2.30pm
