What are the funding rule changes?
The exemptions to eligibility for government funding are aimed at supporting students gain quality education and training from a Victorian TAFE.
Up until 31 December, 2015, if you were in one of the two categories below, you were ineligible for a government-funded place as part of the VTG.
Category 1- Upskilling, but had a qualification at the same level
As an example, previously if you were starting a diploma but already had a diploma qualification or higher, you were ineligible for government funding.
Now, for a limited time at Chisholm, if this is your circumstances, you may be eligible for government funding to gain a qualification at the same level as one you already hold.
Category 2 - Upskilling, but had already commenced two other government-funded courses at the same level in your lifetime
As an example, previously if you had commenced two government-funded Certificate IVs, you were not eligible for government funding to study any further Certificate IV qualifications in your lifetime.
Now, for a limited time at Chisholm, if this is your circumstances, you may be eligible for a government-funded place studying for a qualification at the same level as the one you already hold.
